Hypocrite is a RPG/visual novel about identity, doppelgängers, cults, and alchemy.
You play as Rhain, trying to uncover the truth about himself , and the twisted world around him.
Set in a distorted version of the 1900s, the game explores themes of memory, self perception, and control. Technology may not follow history. Reality may not be real.
This game contains mentions of gore, religious trauma, and mental illness.

I recently noticed there's another game on Itch.io also titled "Hypocrite" — and I’m so sorry! I had no idea when naming my game, and I didn’t mean to use the same title.
The name “Hypocrite” came from the Chinese term 偽善者, and honestly... I didn’t think to check if the name was already in use. That’s totally on me.
This game is inspired by things like Mandela Catalogue, 8:11, and FTUT, and is not connected at all to the other Hypocrite game. Just wanted to clear that up in case anyone’s confused!
